ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Museum & City center walking tour with private guides (Rome)

After breakfast, at your hotel, you will be transferred to the Colosseum where you will be met by our expert guides who will lead you through the beauties of the “Ancient Rome”: the Colosseum, built by the Emperor Vespasian, is the largest amphitheater in the world, a precious testamant to the brilliant architectural and construction capacity possessed in Antiquity. After the the visit of the Flavian Amphitheater (Colosseum), you will visit the Roman Forum - for centuries the ancient Romans' point of reference in terms of the law, religion, and social life - and the Palatine Museum, which contains a precious collection of manifactures of ancient Rome. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will explore the Rome city center through an exciting walking tour that will touch places like Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at 4-star Hotel in Rome/nearby Rome.

DAY 2 - Arrival in Rome/transfer to the hotel (Rome)

Welcome to the “Eternal city”. After your arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport, you will be transferred to your preferred hotel in Rome/nearby Rome. Time for check-in and relax. Welcome Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at 4-star Hotel in Rome/ nearby Rome.

DAY 3 - Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St.Peter’s Basilica (Rome)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the Vatican Museums area where you will be met by our expert guides who will lead you through the works of art of the Vatican Museums. Vatican Museums is a unique experience that must be experienced at least once in a lifetime. This visit is a long and interesting trip that will fill you with emotions through more than twenty centuries of history and art. The Sistine Chapel, the rooms of Raphael and the art gallery (Pinacoteca) are only part of a large number of priceless collections. Last but not least the St. Peter’s Basilica, which is home to the Holy See and considered the most important religious temple of the Catholicism. Lunch on your own. Afternoon at leisure. DAY 4 - Transfer to Umbria Region (Umbria Region)

Breakfast and check out from the hotel in Rome/nearby Rome. In the morning, you will be transferred to Umbria region, approx. 3 hours far away from Rome. Arrival to Perugia area and stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, you will be met by our expert guides for a 2.5-hour walking tour of the splendid capital of the Region of Umbria. You will visit the Rocca Paolina, the Porta Marzia (Etruscan gate), the Piazza del Sopramuro with the Loggia dei Lanari and Palazzo of the Captain of the People, the Corso Vannucci, the Piazza IV Novembre with the Palazzo dei Priori and Sala dei Notari, the Cathedral and the Fontana Maggiore. While exploring the hidden squares and regal architecture, you will be enchanted by the lush trees and geenery throughout the Umbria region. After the tour of the city center, you will be transferred to the hotel located near Perugia or near Assisi. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel near Perugia or Assisi.

DAY 5 - Borgo Solomeo, Brunelli Cucinelli boutique and Assisi (Umbria Region)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we will transfer you to Borgo Solomeo, another medieval hamlet steeped in history. Its foundation likely dates back to the land reclamation of the twelfth century that saved the valley from abandonment, thus marking the beginning of agricultural recovery in the area. Borgo Solomeo is not only an enchanting hamlet, but is also the home of Brunelli Cucinelli, a philosopher-entrepreneur who is currently embarking on a Project for Beauty. His belief in, the genius loci, the spirit of the place, is evident in his work and throughout the town - which was restored partially in thanks to Brunelli’s vision. After visiting the hamlet, we will visit one of the most important Brunelli Cucinelli boutiques in the heart of Borgo Solomeo. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will be transferred to the Medieval town of Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and homeland of St. Francis, the famed saint who renounced all his possessions in order to devote his life to helping the needy. With our guide, you will visit the amazing historical center, Piazza del Comune (central square), the Basilica of St. Francis, and the Oratory of St. Francesco Piccolino. Cathedrals and fortresses dot the city and strike an image both imposing and memorable. Lunch will be on your own with recommendations from our guide. After the visit, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel near Perugia or Assisi.

DAY 6 - Transfer to Florence (Tuscany Region)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and transfer to Florence. On the way to Florence, we will stop to Chianti Valley - one of Italy’s main wine areas known all over the world for its iconic and prestigious Chianti wine. We will visit a winery nestled in the heart of Chianti hills, where you will learn about their production process and see the wine at various stages of aging and enjoyment. Lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to your preferred hotel in Florence. Arrival to the hotel will be followed by time to check-in and relax. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Florence/ nearby Florence.

DAY 7 - Florence 3-hour walking tour with private guides (Tuscany Region)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be met at the lobby of your hotel by our guides who will lead through the beauty of Florence, otherwise known as the “Cradle of the Italian Renaissance”. We will discover the Piazza Duomo with Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza del Signoria with imposing Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge) and the area of Santa Croce. Florence is every art aficionado’s dream come true, alongside striking architecture, bustling markets, and the sweet aroma of homemade, authentic gelato. Lunch will be on your own with recommendations from guide. The afternoon can be spent at your leisure. Immerse yourself in the largest collection of Renaissance art in the world, then hop over to the museum to peruse monastic treasures and jaw-dropping ancient scrolls. Sit in alleyway cafes while eating mouthwatering gelato and watching the spectacular Florentine sunset. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Florence/nearby Florence.

DAY 8 - Siena and San Gimignano (Tuscany Region)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Siena, one of the most popular and visited places in Tuscany, a place extremely rich in history and art and with strong local traditions tied to its 17 districts (called “contrade”) and to the famous Palio di Siena, the biggest annual event that takes place twice each summer in the city. With our expert guides, you will visit the heart of the city, the beautiful Piazza del Campo, one of the landmarks of the city. Lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon you will be transferred to San Gimignano, a typical Tuscan hill town with sombre towers that despite all odds has stood its ground for centuries and remains standing to this day. Recently, it has been given the honour of being named as a UNESCO World Heritage site thanks to its stunning feudal architecture. Take a stroll along the historic road of the Via Francigena, which was the primary road that pilgrims and travellers used throughout Europe. Today, San Gimignano is once again a lively, active town that is overflowing with stores and boutiques which sell local produce, such as the town’s “red gold” as they affectionately call saffron, artisanal fare, and the original Vernaccia white wine which is hundreds of years old. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Florence. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Florence/nearby Florence.

DAY 9 - Transfer to Turin (Piedmont Region)

Breakfast and check out from the hotel in Florence/nearby Florence. In the morning, you will be transferred to Piedmont region, approx. 3-4 hours far away from Florence. On the way to Turin - Piedmont Capital region - we will stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant nestled in the heart of Vercellese Plain, a very characteristic area famous for cultivation of rice. After lunch, you will visit a very special rice farm awarded by Slow Food, that in 2004 opened the first Learning Center of the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. Since its opening, the family hosts its students every year to show them rice growing and processing techniques. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in/nearby Turin. DAY 10 - Turin and Egyptian Museum Tour with private guides (Piedmont Region)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be met at the lobby of your hotel by our guides who will lead through the beauty of Turin, the original capital of Italy! Blending Renaissance, Baroque, Romanesque, and modern Italian architecture, you’ll be treated to imposing spires, regal columns, and meticulously paved pathways as you explore the city. With perfectly tree-lined streets and modern, artsy cafes, your day will be full of chances to explore and immerse yourself in Turin’s unique culture. During the leisurely morning walking tour, you will discover part of this heritage: the majestic castle Piazza Castello, the Royale Palace, Piazza San Carlo and the ancient cafeterias, Via Po. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, your guide will take you to discover the beauties of the Egyptian Museum., the second most important in the world! DAY 11 - University of Gastronomic Science and Barolo winery tour and tasting (Piedmont Region)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the University of Gastronomic Science in the heart of Langhe area, one of the most spectacular wine areas of all Italy! Here you will have a tour of the University of Gastronomic Sciences, born and promoted in 2004 by the Slow Food association in collaboration with the Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna regional authorities, is a private university legally recognized by the Italian state. Its goal is to create an international research and education center for those working on renewing farming methods, protecting biodiversity, and building an organic relationship between gastronomy and agricultural science. The university forms gastronomes, new professional figures with multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge in the fields of science, culture, politics, economics and ecology of food, working to apply them to production, distribution and sustainable consumption. After the tour of the complex, you will have lunch at the restaurant of the Albergo dell’Agenzia. In the afternoon, you will be transferred in the heart of Barolo Hills and will visit a traditional Barolo winery specialized in making and producing Barolo wine. After the tour of the winery, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Turin/ nearby Turin.

DAY 12 - Transfer to Venice (Veneto Region)

Breakfast and check out from the hotel in Turin/nearby Turin. In the morning, you will be transferred to Veneto, approx. 4 hours far away from Turin. On the way to Venice we you stop for lunch near Verona and in the afternoon you will visit the historical center of the “City of Lovers” with our expert guides: Piazza Bra with its magnificent Arena, Via Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, and the Balcony of Juliet. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel nearby Venice. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel nearby Venice.

DAY 13 - Murano, Burano and Venice Main Island (Veneto Region)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Venice by private transfer. You will meet our expert guides and you will start an excursion that takes you on a visit to Venice islands: Murano for the glass factory and Burano for the laces. Divided into nine islets crossed by a wide canal, Murano is the island of glass blowing. A long and still-thriving tradition dating back to 1291, when the glass artisans moved their kilns here from the old city centre. Murano is the town of glass: during XV and XVI centuries it was the main glass centre in Europe. A stop at a glass factory is included to watch an expert master glass blowers create a work of art. Second stop will be Burano island, one of the prettiest islands in the whole lagoon: it’s a miniature Venice where all the houses are painted in bright colors. Burano is famous for its lace work, an art that has been carried out since the XVI century when it was considered the most refined and famous in Europe. After lunch in Burano or Mazzorbo island you will be transferred to Venice Main Island for the waking tour of the city. You will stroll through the “calle” (narrow streets), canals, and unknown bridges the most known of which being the Rialto Bridge. This is the oldest of four bridges crossing the Grand Canal in the heart of Venice, dating back to the rise of the Rialto district in the year 1097. Obviously, one of the main places visited will be St. Mark square, the icon of Venice! After the walking tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel nearby Venice.

DAY 14 - Prosecco Tour and Farewell Dinner (Veneto Region)

Breakfast at the hotel. After being picked up at the hotel, you will be transferred to the enchanting Prosecco Hills. Throughout our drive, you will find Medieval towns sprinkling the Prosecco hillsides with old world castles nestled perfectly in the vineyards. Here you will have a first visit to a traditional winery located in the heart of Valdobbiadene area, one of the oldest wine regions in Italy where the best wines, secrets, and traditions have been preserved for centuries. Tour the winery and taste authentic Prosecco wine unlike any you have enjoyed before. Fruity, floral, and effervescent, this Prosecco will invigorate your tastebuds and leave you excited for the days ahead as we tour Italy’s food and wine country. After the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Time for relax. In the evening you will be transferred near Venice. In the eying you will be transferred to the Port near Venice for a Galleon Dinner Cruise. In the manner of an aristocratic Venetian feast, the Galleon will make its grand entrance into the basin of San Marco, offering a seductive panorama of the Piazza and its palaces. Pleasantly immersed in this enchanting atmosphere, you'll be able to savor an elegant dinner with background music, for an unforgettably emotional experience! After the dinner and the cruise in the Venetian Lagoon, you will be transferred back to your hotel near Venice. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel nearby Venice.

DAY 15 - Pick-up at the hotel and Drop Off to Venice Marco Polo airport

Breakfast. Pick-up at your preferred hotel located near Venice and drop off to Venice Marco Polo airport. End of the scheduled services. Say “Arrivederci” to Italy and reminisce on the amazing sights and tastes of your Italy Tour!
